The word in me this week has been following so many rabbit
trails
I can barely express the overflow of thought...yet like a helium balloon that
needs to be reigned in I have sought to bring clarity to many things within.
Isa.1: 18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though
your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red
like crimson, they shall be as wool.19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall
eat the good of the land: 20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured
with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
One of the things that hs been bellowing like a trumpet is the need to
experience the throne room of prayer in a new way... knowing we are entering a
prayer and fasting season I wanted to prepare my own heart.
Dan.9: 18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and
behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not
present our supplications before thee for our righteousness, but for thy
great mercies. 19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer
not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by
thy name.
Raising many questions within I was lead to look at the verse “present yourself
a living sacrifice” which opened the door to looking at several words in the
dictionary as well as in the word: (breaking of the word if you will at the
very root.)
Present: present something to, give something to someone, show, or offer
(something) to others, to scrutinize or consider. Yourself: used to emphasize
the person being addressed. To address: to think about and begin to deal with
an issue or problem. Sacrifice: an act of surrendering a possession as an
offering to God: to be the living proof that “is” the case. An act of giving
up something valued for the sake of something else regarded as more important
or worthy.
Which led me directly to: Hosea 6:1 Come, and let us return unto the
LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind
us up. 2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us
up, and we shall live in his sight.
Something I have been contemplating is the verse: Romans 8:19 For the
earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons
of God. In fact so much so that I have even dared people to tell me what that
means to them rather then simply quote the verse as knowledge...one person
said to me “well you already know what that is you are it in your writings.”
Again left empty and wondering if anyone would really hear my cry for the truth
of it... I determined to look further.
Psalm 51: 6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the
hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. 7 Purge me with hyssop, and I
shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. 8 Make me to hear joy
and gladness; that the bones, which thou hast broken, may rejoice. 9 Hide thy
face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. 10 Create in me a clean
heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 11 Cast me not away from thy
presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.12 Restore unto me the joy of
thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.13 Then will I teach
transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee thine altar.
Convert: cause to change in form, character, or function, change or be able to
change from one form to another
change one's religious faith or other beliefs, persuade (someone) to do this,
adapt (a building) to make it suitable for a new purpose. This points to a
state of transition: which points to the process or a period of changing from
one state or condition to another. Physics a change of an atom from one quantum
state to another, undergo or cause to undergo a process or period of transition:
Romans 8...be ye Transformed by the renewing of your mind...
I began my journey looking to inspire the fire in me to pray and consider these
things in new way...and I find myself ending it on this note: When I take a
step (move to a new position) to seek the Lord while he can be found, I am
able to truly find his throne room of grace and there in be that throne of
grace to others. This is the walk of Enoch...to be so saturated with his
presence so completely persuaded that we are not found but only the most holy
in which all creation longs to enter in becomes as radiant as the new day.
