GOLD EXPEDITION: BY PETER DEMETRIS

The Spiritual approach to Creation, Manufacture and Dispersion of Gold. Among the materials used by the Israelites to build the tabernacle was Gold. It was necessary to know how to skillfully shape this precious metal into the different forms made to depict Gods Dwelling place.

GOLD FACTS- Chemical element - (stoicheon) Aurum-Latin Au Atomic number 79= 16--7 Conductor of Heat and Electricity- Power
Soft and pliable- in thin sheets called GOLD LEAF it transmits a GREEN light.
Does not tarnish or corrode- There is just as much gold in the earth today as there was when the earth was created.
Takes about two thousand degrees Fahrenheit to melt.

DIVINE ORGINS:

Gen. 2: 10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. Gen 2: 11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah where there is gold; Gen 2:12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

Gen.13:2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.

I Chron. 28: 11 Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch, and of the houses thereof and of the treasuries thereof and of the upper chambers thereof, and of the inner parlors thereof and of the place of the mercy seat.

12 And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the dedicated things:

13 Also for the courses of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and for all the vessels of service in the house of the LORD.

14 He gave of gold by weight for things of gold, for ad instruments of all manner of service; silver also for all instruments of silver by weight, for all instruments of every kind of service:

15 Even the weight for the candlesticks of gold, and for their lamps of gold, by weight for every candlestick, and for the lamps thereof and for the candlesticks of silver by weight both for the candlestick, and also for the lamps thereof according to the use of every candlestick.

16 And by the weight he gave for the tables of showbread, for every table, and likewise silver for the tables of silver. I Chron. 28:17 Also pure gold for the fieshhooks, and the bowls, and the cups: and for the golden basins he gave gold by weight for every basin and likewise silver by weight for every basin of silver.

18 And for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot of the cherubim, that spread out their wings, and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD. I Chr 28:19 All this, said David, the LORD made me understand in writing by his hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern.

I Chron. 29:2 Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colors, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

3 Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and saver, which I have given to the house of my God over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house.

4 Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal:

5 The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD?

2 Chron. 2:13 And now I have sent a cunning man, endued with understanding, of Huram my fathers, VS. 14, .....skillful to work in gold, and in silver, in brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson; also to grave any manner of graving and to find out every device which shall be put to Him, with thy cunning men, and with the cunning men of my lord David thy father.

Ex. 31:2 See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. Ex. 31:3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, Ex. 31:4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, Ex. 31:5 And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.

Ex. 31:6 And i, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahimmach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee;

A PARABLE OF GOLD:

2 Chr. 9:20 And all the drinking vessels of King Solomon were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: none were of silver,it was not any thing accounted of in the days of Solomon.

2 Chr. 36:5 Jehoialkim was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God.

6 Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon. 2 Chron. 36:7 Nebuchadnezzer also carried of the vessels of the house of the LORD to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon.

Dan. 1:2 And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.

Ezra 1: 7 Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem, and had put them in the house of his gods;

GOLD WISDOM:

Job 28:5 As for the earth, out of it cometh bread: and under it is turned up as it were fire. Job 28:6 The stones of it are the place of sapphires: and it hath dust of gold.

Job 23: 10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

Rev 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see."

I Pet 1: 7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Rev 1: 12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
